Project AgGrad - Emmanuel Adeyemo
April 28, 2019 –
Project Ag-Grad is a mission of the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. We can help feed the world by providing graduate education in production agriculture to the best students from the developing world.
Seven AgGrad students have graduated from the University of Minnesota with advanced degrees in production agriculture since 1990. The fruits of their education are multiplied many times over through their teaching and mentoring hundreds of students, through research, through publications, and through outreach to farmers and communities in their countries.
Emmanuel Adeyemo, the eighth student and a protégée of the first student, arrived from Nigeria in August of 2016 to begin his studies.
Emmanuel Adeyemo will be worshipping with us, Sunday, April 28th. Please welcome Emmanuel as he shares his vision for Nigeria: “My vision for Nigeria is that of a
country that is self-sufficient in food production, a country that will no more import what she can produce locally and by God’s grace I hope to play a major role in helping my country achieve this objective. I am a witness to the contribution of the AgGrad Program as a beneficiary of mentor Dr. Debo Olaoye (AgGrad’s first student) who works with farmers in the rural communities to promote the adoption of improved crop varieties and thus enhance their earning capacity.”
