Come Just As You Are to yoga! Remember to bring your mat. Don’t have a mat? Borrow one of our mats. Our Yoga group is taught by a certified Yoga Instructor with experience teaching yoga to people with various abilities from beginner to advanced. You’ll enjoy this meditative movement at PORCH.
Never tried Yoga before? Our Yoga group is taught by Lynn Solomon, a certified Yoga Instructor with experience teaching yoga to people with various abilities from beginner to advanced. Afraid your body isn’t able to move into Yoga positions? No worries, our instructor can modify each pose to ensure your experience is a positive one. Worried about your joint replacement? Our instructor also has experience teaching chair yoga so your joints won’t be pushed past their limits. You’ll enjoy this meditative movement at PORCH.
February 6:Retrain Your Brain, Better Habits Now; TED Talk: Trying Something New for 30 Days by matt Cutts; Discussion on ways to create healthier habits and get rid of habits that no longer serve you.
February 13: The Story of Red Bird (Faith, Compassion and the Human Spirit); Come learn more about the Red Bird Mission. We will be watching a short DVE, looking at pictures and hearing about Red Bird from the Peace UMC missionaries who have been there.
February 20: Tonight we will be making Prayer Shawls out of fleece. Can you tie a shoe? Knot a rope? Follow directions? Then you can make a Prayer Shawl. Everyone is welcome!
